Nigerian music has definitely conquered its African audience as its artistes;
Wizkid,
Runtown, Mr Eazi and
Tekno get nominated for the category of
Best African Artiste
of the Year at the
Ghana Music Awards U.K. 2017 alongside Ugandan Eddy Kenzo.
The 33 categories of the 2nd annual Ghana Music Awards UK 2017 consists majorly of Ghanaian acts such as
Becca,
R2Bees,
Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and more. Nigerian artistes,
Mr Eazi and
Runtown also got nominated for best collaborations of the year and best music video while
Nathaniel Bassey got nominated for
Gospel Song of the Year for his feature with Jeshrun Okyere in
‘Healing Stream’.
The nominees’ selection is based on songs released from April 2016 to April 2017.
Voting for your favorite nominee will commence on Saturday, 15th of
July when the platform for voting and necessary procedures to follow
will be made available to the public.
The 2nd annual Ghana Music Awards UK will be presented to the winners
on Saturday, 16th September 2017 at the Gaumont Palace (Dominion
Centre), 9 The Broadway, High Road, Wood Green, London N22 6DS.
